| Internet Sources Medical Research Websites For the purposes of medical research, four essential websites are: The National Library of Medicine website: www.pubmed.com The National Cancer Institutes of Health Breast Information Site for Patients www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/breast/patient Medscape: www.medscape.com The Lancet Oncology website: www.oncology.thelancet.com Other Sites www.annieappleseedproject.org Complementary/Alternative Therapies from a Patient Perspective: A comprehensive web site on cancer and political action to aid cancer patients is this complementary/alternative therapies from a patient's perspective site, which was founded by Anne Fonfa, herself a breast cancer survivor. This site "provides information, education, advocacy and awareness for people with cancer, family and friends interested in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) natural therapies from the patient's perspective." It contains a searchable database than is unequaled in the CAM world. An article about the annieappleseedproject appeared in Alternative Medicine, the November-December, 2004 issue. The Iodine4health Website explores many documented aspects of iodine research as well as links to The Iodine Group, one of the fastest growing health discussion groups on the web. Both studies and fast-breaking information are reported in this group and filed on the Iodine4Health Website. www.biodentistry.net. This holistic bio-compatible dentistry website is the website of Dr. Oscar Solorio and Dr. Benjamin Arichega, who are dentists in Mexico, who are exponents of Dr. Clark's dental philosophy. Dr. Solorio, with Dr. Clark's help, has found a unique way to avoid contamination from dental impression materials. He is now using totally pure and natural dye-free beeswax in place of potentially toxic impression material. Dr. Solorio is also sterilizing and hardening the restoration with sonication. All of this is an assumption that could cost a person their life!" www.cancure.org/home The Cancer Cure Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching and providing information about alternative cancer treatments and therapies since 1976. www.canhelp.com CANHELP, Inc, is an alternative cancer treatment information and referral service. CANHELP, founded in 1983 by the late Patrick McGrady, encourages patients to look at all their treatment options before embarking on any therapy. Director Madeleen Herreshoff, a two-time breast cancer survivor, has used both conventional and alternative cancer treatments extensively. This website is based upon the Blood Type Diet (BTD) system outlined in the writings of Dr. Peter D'Adamo, New York Times best-selling author of Eat Right 4 Your Type. Through his research and writings this important theory has introduced the concept of genetically individualized nutrition to millions of readers around the world. www.drclark.net This Dr. Hulda Clark website, which is run by Dr. Clark advocates, describes itself as being "THE Informational Web Site" about Dr. Clark's program. There is a breadth of information on this site: The material includes information about Dr. Clark's protocol, testimonials, and lists of practitioners. Specifically, the Info section details the four clean-ups: dental, body, diet, and home. Plus, there is information on electronic devices, such as the zapper, accompanied by the Dr. Clark Association's commissioned zapper study conducted by Dr. Henry Lai at the University of Washington. www.frequencyresearch.org www.jeffsutherland.com/complementary Dr. Sutherland is a Rife researcher. Scientific information (pro and con) is presented on a wide variety of alternative medicine topics - including EDTA chelation. Many of the articles are reprinted online. www.wholehealthmd.com. This website has features, gives recommendations for nutraceuticals, and tells how much to take, and gives cautions.
